Lynda Pellegrin joined KLM Properties in 1996 after a career in nursing, government and private business. Among her interests are investing and understanding the economics of Real Estate and how it affects our local market.
Lynda has been involved in the evolution of technology and education in Real Estate. She obtained both her ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute) in 1999. In 2002 she obtained her SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation. This designation educates the real estate professional in the special needs of real estate clients over the age of 55. It deals with Estate Planning and probate, housing issues, home equity conversion and reverse mortgages, as well as installment sales and information relating to the Taxpayer Relief Act. SRES is as much counseling as it is listing or selling real estate.
If you are 62 years of age or older and have the need for more income, would like to pay off the remaining mortgage on your home, or use a Reverse Mortgage to purchase a home, call Lynda for more information. Having been through the Reverse Mortgage process personally, she is happy to answer any questions you might have and refer you to a Reverse Mortgage Specialist should you decide a Reverse Mortgage would be of benefit to you.
Whether assisting retirees, counseling first time home buyers, step up buyers, or identifying investiment opportunities, Lynda's goal is to impart sensitivity, integrity and dedication to her job. It is this work ethic that enables her to give her clients the service they deserve and produce award-winning results.
We spent over two years looking for a house, due to atypical requirements that proved difficult to meet. Initially, we searched without our own agent. We met Lynda when she was seller's agent for a house we considered. We immediately felt comfortable with Lynda, and were impressed with how she handled the possibility of representing both the seller and us in a sale (a "dual agency"). She explained the issues clearly and honestly, and was ethical and professional in every respect, while at the same time personable and clearly interested in our needs. After that house didn't work out, we asked her to represent us as buyer's agent.
Over a period of more than half a year, we looked at many houses with Lynda. On a few, we got as far as making offers. Lynda was patient through it all, in spite of all the houses we rejected, and the offers that flopped. She always worked hard for us, with unflagging enthusiasm. Her advice was particularly critical when we made offers and got into the nitty-gritty of contracts. She also did most of the tedious "legwork" needed at those times, letting us relax and stay focused on key issues. We knew we could trust Lynda to handle things.Lynda demonstrated deep experience with the local market, the local agents, and all the little particulars to buying a house in the Morgantown area. That experience was invaluable to us. That alone would recommend her. We would happily work with her again, however, for no other reason than she treated us as friends, rather than just business clients.
