What made you decide to become a REALTOR?
I grew up in the small, coal-mining town of Oceana, West Virginia. Like most coal towns in Wyoming County and elsewhere, our neighborhoods consisted of the same houses side-by-side, without much diversity in style or individuality. As a young girl, I envisioned myself in a grander, different kind of home when I grew up, so I began to pursue a career in real estate. First, I was an appraiser. Then, became a licensed sales associate in 1985, and finally Broker in 1989. I’m blessed that my family and my career have expanded over the years. Now I live in a loft in a refurbished warehouse. A dream made possible through the help of my real estate experience, my husband’s ingenuity, and our good friends’ and neighbors’ creativity.

Provide a brief description of your real estate background
I’m a WV Certified General Appraiser. I am the previous Broker/Owner of KLM Properties which opened in 1994. I have “guided” many buyers and sellers through the process of homeownership in the past 30 years. Although many things have changed in that time, the core of success is still about listening to my clients and helping them visualize their dreams.
