Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease that affects so many women and men. This year alone, an estimated 268,6000 women in the United States have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and 62,930 women have been diagnosed with noninvasive breast cancer. Here are a few ways to get involved and show your support!
#1 – Wear Pink
The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness. Pink ribbons and the color pink in general is a great way to show support!
#2 – Support Local Families
Get involved with your local community! If you know of anyone who currently is fighting breast cancer, offer to drive them to and from treatments. Make their family a meal. Be a supportive community member and help their family through their fight.
#3 – Give
There are many ways that you can give to support breast cancer awareness. You can give to a research foundation. You can give by participating in a walk. You can give by supporting a great cause.
